● A hybrid solution based on telework 4 days out of 5, and face-to-face
● First pilot site in Oujda with a potential of 800 job creations
● Start of the activity in October 2020
The Intelcia Group launches a new model of sites combining telework (4 days out of 5) and face-to-face. An innovative delivery mode that allows the group to establish itself in regions far from the main economic axis of the country. The objective is to contribute to their development. "Our response to the Covid crisis was firstly to preserve the jobs of our employees and to ensure the continuity of the activity for our clients. Secondly, it is essential for us to continue to invest in job creation, particularly in regions that need to be revitalized. We are one of the 50 largest Moroccan companies. Working for a sustainable growth of our economy is naturally one of the pillars of our social and societal commitment", says Karim Bernoussi, CEO of Intelcia.
This new site model clearly represents the Group's anchor point for its regional development. And it is thanks to the successful experience of remote working -TAD-, deployed during the Covid-19 pandemic, that Intelcia's teams were able to design this project based on mini-satellite sites exclusively dedicated to teleworking in 4/5 (80% in TAD and 20% face-to-face). A hybrid solution which is part of Intelcia's global offer, with a differentiated value proposition for the employees. It offers them sustainable jobs in their city and with all the flexibility that telecommuting allows. "Today we are transforming the telework trial by adopting this hybrid model in the new sites in the regions. It allows us to offer jobs to people who do not want to or cannot travel 5 days out of 5 to work, or in remote areas. On the other hand, for me, face-to-face training is key in this system, because it allows us to maintain a social link with the company. The company is not only a place of work. It is also a place for socializing, exchanging ideas, training, etc.," explains Karim Bernoussi.
In concrete terms, the agents will be called upon to visit the site on a weekly basis, in rotation. These mini-satellite sites, with an average of 100 positions, will be permanently equipped with all the necessary supervision, on-site training and the Group's entire HR and social policy. Of course, the call center agents will benefit from specific conditions with Intelcia taking care of their work tools, as well as allowances specific to the TAD. Thanks to this differentiated approach, the Group will not only introduce a new mindset in the regions, but above all new jobs specific to the sector.
This innovative system will also allow the Group to move into the regions more quickly, thanks to the agility and flexibility intrinsic to the model. Intelcia initially chose the Oriental region, and more specifically the city of Oujda, because it has an attractive employment pool to carry out this pilot project, as well as quality infrastructure. "Intelcia's investment in Oujda is perfectly in line with the spirit of the region's economic take-off action program and will contribute to placing the Oriental region among the Kingdom's wealth and job-creating regions," says Mouad El Jamai, Wali of the Oriental region and Governor of the Oujda-Angad prefecture.
Moreover, on the occasion of SICCAM 2020 - the International Exhibition of Contact and Call Centers in Morocco - which was held on July 10 and 11 in Oujda, an investment agreement was signed with the Wilaya, the Regional Council of the Oriental and other institutional stakeholders. Objective: to support the development of Intelcia in the region, with a potential of 400 job creations in the medium term, and a potential of 800 jobs in the long term.
Other cities are expected to join the scheme in the long term in order to boost the regional job market. The Intelcia Group currently has more than 8500 employees in Morocco.
